Anthropic researcher warns that AI ‘could kill all humans’
Anthropic researchers have warned that advanced AI could one day kill all humans. One Anthropic researcher said he believes there is more than a 10% chance that very powerful AI could cause human extinction within the next 10 years.

Anthropic researcher Evan Hubinger said there is a more than 10% chance that future super-powerful AI could kill all humans within the next decade.
Former Anthropic researcher Jacob Coxon left the company and warned that AI companies are moving too fast toward smarter AI without fully knowing how to control it.
Researchers worry about AI that can think better than humans, work on its own, use computers, secure resources, and even help build smarter AI systems.
The warning is not saying that ChatGPT, Claude, or other AI tools today will suddenly kill humans. The concern is mainly about much more powerful AI that may be built in the future.
Anthropic researchers say we still do not have a proven way to fully control very advanced AI if it starts making harmful choices while trying to complete a goal.

Meta just launched a new personal AI agent called Muse that can do tasks for you, not just answer questions. It can help with things like emails, travel, shopping, forms, and planning.
Details:
You can ask Muse to send emails, book trips, shop online, fill out forms, and complete other tasks.
Muse can keep working even after you close the app and come back when it needs your approval.
It can remember your goals, plans, likes, and other details you choose to share.
Muse uses a secure virtual computer and asks before doing sensitive things like sending an email or making a purchase
It is rolling out first in the United States on iOS, Android, the web, and WhatsApp, with more features planned later.
