NEWS OF THE WEEK

ChatGPT is testing a mysterious new feature called ‘study together’

Some ChatGPT users have noticed a new tool called Study Together. It is still being tested and is not yet available to everyone.

This new tool helps you learn by:

  • Asking you questions

  • Giving feedback based on your answers

  • Guiding you step by step through a topic

Instead of just giving answers, ChatGPT tries to teach you like a tutor. It helps you think, not just copy.

You can find it (if you have access) by checking the tools menu inside ChatGPT. Currently, only a select few users can view it. There is no date yet for when it will be available to everyone. If released more widely, this feature could help students use AI in smarter ways learning, not just searching. Source

This group also had trouble recognizing content they had written with AI help. Scientists call this “metacognitive laziness,” depending on a tool so much that your thinking slows down. Read More
