OpenAI launches a general-purpose agent in ChatGPT

OpenAI has launched a general-purpose ChatGPT Agent that can use tools like a browser, terminal, and third-party apps to complete tasks on your behalf. It’s now live for Pro, Plus, and Team users, with broader access coming later.
Key Points:
Autonomous Task Handling: The agent breaks down requests and handles tasks like web searches, email drafts, calendar updates, code execution, and file creation using a virtual computer.
Tool and App Integration: It works with Gmail, Google Calendar, Drive, Slack, GitHub, and public APIs, letting it send messages, fetch documents, and update content across services.
User Oversight and Controls: Sensitive actions require user approval; a watch mode pauses activity if you're inactive, and there's no memory access or long-term data storage for now.
Availability and Limits: Pro users get 400 prompts monthly; Plus and Team users get about 40, with Enterprise and Education rollout planned later this summer.
Security Measures: It runs in an isolated environment, blocks financial and unsafe operations, restricts terminal use, and includes safeguards against misuse in bio/chemical contexts.
Reviews note the agent shows promise in saving time on tedious tasks, like ordering cupcakes, planning meals, or preparing work decks, but the current experience is sometimes slow and error‑prone.

AI AND ETHICS
DuckDuckGo Now Lets You Hide AI-Generated Images

DuckDuckGo just added a new feature that lets you block AI-generated images from showing up in search results. It gives you more control over what you see, especially if you prefer real photos over computer-made ones
Details:
You can choose to show or hide AI images when searching in the image tab.
If you want to block AI images all the time, you can turn on the setting under “Hide AI-Generated Images” in your DuckDuckGo preferences.
The filter uses community-made blocklists (like uBlockOrigin and uBlacklist) to keep out most AI-generated content.
There’s a special page that blocks AI images and even removes AI summaries.
It doesn’t catch everything, but it helps cut down on fake or low-quality images.

How to use Microsoft Copilot AI agent For Free
You don’t even need to pay for the ChatGPT agent. You can use Microsoft Copilot for free. Here is how:

Go to Microsoft Copilot and sign in with your Microsoft account.
Click the dropdown that says “Quick response” and select “Action (Labs)” from the list. The estimated time shows “5–10 min” because it handles more complex tasks.
Type Your Task (Examples you can type):
“Summarize this PDF” (attach or paste content)
“Draft an email to schedule a meeting next Thursday.”
“Find open slots in my calendar this week.”
“Organize these notes into a project plan.”
Wait for Completion. Since Action mode takes longer, Copilot may ask for confirmation or clarification. Let it finish processing the steps & it will return a completed task or ask for approval before executing.
Copilot will show the result: a completed draft, a formatted document, or an instruction you can approve. You can modify, accept, or copy the result.
If you are not able to access it, then try to use a VPN.
