ANTHROPIC

Anthropic accuses China of using Claude to train their AI

Anthropic has accused several Chinese AI companies of using Claude to train their own AI models. The company says they created thousands of fake accounts and collected Claude’s answers to improve their systems. This issue is now part of the global race to build more powerful AI.

Key Points:

  • The companies created about 24,000 fake accounts to access Claude. These accounts were used to send millions of messages and collect answers from the AI.

  • The companies used a method called distillation. This means they trained their own AI by learning from Claude’s responses, thereby making their models smarter.

  • Anthropic, named DeepSeek, Moonshot AI, and MiniMax. The company says these labs used Claude’s outputs to improve their own AI systems.

  • Anthropic says this activity broke its terms of service. Claude is not meant for large-scale commercial use in China, and fake accounts were used to bypass restrictions.

  • This situation shows how competitive AI development has become. Companies and countries are racing to build stronger AI, and protecting AI technology is now a major concern

AI AND INNOVATION

Spotify rolls out AI-powered Prompted Playlists

Spotify just added a new AI feature called Prompted Playlists that lets you create playlists by typing what you want. The AI reads your words and builds a playlist that matches your mood, activity, or idea.

Details:

  • You can type anything like “songs for gym,” “sad songs,” or “music for studying,” and Spotify will create a playlist for you.

  • The AI uses your listening history, favourite artists, and songs to make playlists that fit your taste.

  • You can change the playlist by adding new prompts, and the AI will update the songs.

  • The feature is inside the Spotify app under the Create option, where you select Prompted Playlist and type your idea.

  • It helps you find new music faster without searching for each song yourself.
