OPENAI
OpenAI launches new app for agentic coding

OpenAI has released a new Mac app called Codex. It’s made to help people build software faster by letting AI assist directly from their desktop. The goal is to turn coding into a shared job between you and AI.
Key Points:
The app uses AI agents to break large coding tasks into small steps. They can write code, fix bugs, review changes, and work on many tasks at the same time.
You can run more than one agent at once. One agent can debug while another writes new code, all in one place.
Codex runs as a real Mac app, so you do not need to jump between browser tabs or tools. Everything happens on your computer.
You approve important actions. The agents work in a secure space and cannot do unsafe things. You always decide what gets saved.
Now AI can help with full coding tasks, while you guide the work and make the final choices.

AI AND INNOVATION
Firefox will soon let you block all of its generative AI features

Mozilla Firefox will soon let you block all of its generative AI features. This gives you more control over your browser if you do not want AI tools while you use the web.
Details:
You can choose to turn all AI features on or off in Firefox settings.
If you want to block AI all the time, you can switch on “Block AI enhancements” in the new AI controls section.
You can also turn off specific AI tools, like AI chat, page translation, link previews, and smart tab suggestions.
The new controls will arrive first in Firefox version 148 on February 24, 2026, and later for everyone else.
It does not stop every AI feature yet, but it helps reduce AI tools if you prefer a simple browsing experience.
