IBM is hiring entry-level talent in the age of AI.
IBM just announced it is tripling its entry-level hiring in the age of AI. While many companies are cutting junior roles due to automation, IBM is doing the opposite, investing more in early-career talent.
Details:
IBM plans to triple its entry-level hiring in the United States in 2026.
The company is redesigning junior roles so new hires work with AI tools rather than being replaced by them.
These roles focus more on problem-solving, customer interaction, and supervising AI systems.
IBM leaders said they have seen limits to full AI automation, especially in jobs that require human judgment and teamwork.
The goal is to build a strong pipeline of young professionals who understand how to use AI effectively from the start of their careers.
This shows that AI is not removing entry-level work entirely, but it is changing what those jobs require.

How to run Claude Code locally for Free
You don’t need to pay for Claude Code in the cloud. You can run it locally on your own computer for free using Ollama. Here is how:
Go to Ollama and download Ollama. Install it.
Open your terminal and run: curl -fsSL https://ollama.com/install.sh | sh
Start Ollama: ollama serve
Download a local coding model: ollama pull qwen2.5-coder
Install Claude Code: curl -fsSL https://claude.ai/install.sh | bash
Connect Claude Code to Ollama:
Export ANTHROPIC_AUTH_TOKEN=ollama
Export ANTHROPIC_BASE_URL=http://localhost:11434
Run Claude Code with the local model: claude --model qwen2.5-coder
Claude Code will now use the model running on your computer.
It can read files, edit code, and help you build projects without incurring API usage fees.
If it does not work, make sure Ollama is running. If you still have issues, restart your terminal and try again.

THE LATEST IN AI
The feature, internally known as “Name Tag,” would allow smart-glasses wearers to identify people and access information about them through Meta’s AI assistant.
Gemini-powered Audio Summaries give you a condensed overview of lengthy documents instead of reading the entire thing. The feature is now rolling out to select businesses and Google AI users and can be found in the Tools menu in Google Docs.
