Waymo is working on using Google Gemini as an AI assistant inside its self-driving cars. The goal is to help riders during trips by answering questions and controlling simple in-car features.
Details:
The assistant is being tested inside Waymo robotaxis.
It uses Google Gemini to talk with passengers in simple language.
Riders can ask questions during the trip and get short, clear answers.
The assistant can help with things like music, temperature, and other car settings.
It cannot drive the car or control safety features.
The system is still being tested and is not yet available to everyone.
