OPENAI
OpenAI officially rolls out ChatGPT ads

OpenAI has started showing ads in ChatGPT for some users. The ads help support free access while keeping paid plans ad-free.
Key Points:
Ads show up below ChatGPT replies in a separate section. They are clearly labelled and not mixed into the answers you get.
Ads appear to logged-in adults on the Free and Go plans. Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise, and Education users do not see ads.
Ads are based on the topic you are chatting about and your general activity. Advertisers do not see your chats or personal details.
Chats stay private. Advertisers only see total numbers, such as clicks. Ads do not appear around sensitive topics like health or politics, and users under 18 do not see ads.
You can hide or report ads, turn off ad personalisation, or choose fewer daily messages to avoid ads on free plans.

AI ADS

AI ads flopped at this year’s Super Bowl. Many viewers felt the ads missed the mark and did not feel fun or memorable.
Details:
Many brands talked about AI or used AI-generated visuals. Viewers said it felt repetitive and tiring.
Many ads focused on the tech itself instead of telling a clear or funny story.
Fans said the ads felt cold and lacked a human touch.
They did not spark excitement or laughter.
Social media reactions were mostly negative. Many people joked that the ads felt cheap or rushed.
A small number of ads did better by mixing AI with real people and simple ideas. These stood out because they felt more human.

Researchers raised alarms when over 400 malicious skills were uploaded to ClawHub and GitHub in just one week. That prompted an outcry, prompting OpenClaw to partner with VirusTotal to scan third-party skills.
