AI NEWS

OPENAI

Ads are soon coming to ChatGPT with targeted shopping links

OpenAI has confirmed that ads are coming to ChatGPT, starting with shopping-style sponsored links. This will first roll out as a US test in the next few weeks.

Key Points:

  • Sponsored product or service links may show up at the bottom of certain answers, only when your chat is related to shopping.

  • OpenAI says these links will be clearly marked as “sponsored” and kept separate from the main answer.

  • The test will apply to logged-in adults in the US, mainly for Free users and ChatGPT Go ($8/month).

  • Plus, Pro, Business, and Enterprise users will not see ads.

  • OpenAI says it won’t sell your chats or personal data to advertisers, and ads won’t show in sensitive topics like health, mental health, and politics. Users under 18 won’t see ads.

Better prompts. Better AI output.

AI gets smarter when your input is complete. Wispr Flow helps you think out loud and capture full context by voice, then turns that speech into a clean, structured prompt you can paste into ChatGPT, Claude, or any assistant. No more chopping up thoughts into typed paragraphs. Preserve constraints, examples, edge cases, and tone by speaking them once. The result is faster iteration, more precise outputs, and less time re-prompting. Try Wispr Flow for AI or see a 30-second demo.

AI AND INNOVATION

OpenAI launhes ChatGPT Translate

OpenAI just launched ChatGPT Translate, a new translation tool inside ChatGPT that works like Google Translate. It provides fast translations on a simple two-box page and supports 50+ languages.

Details:

  • It has its own Translate page, made for quick copy-and-paste translations.

  • It supports 50+ languages, like a real translation app.

  • You can change the translation style to sound more formal, more fluent, more academic, or more kid-friendly.

  • Right now, it focuses mainly on text translation.

  • There is no separate Translate app yet. It is built into ChatGPT on the web.
