PERPLEXITY

Perplexity Computer can now file your federal taxes

Perplexity has launched a new Computer feature to help you prepare and file your federal taxes with AI. It can guide you through the steps and fill out forms for you.

Key Points:

  • The tool can fill out official tax forms and organise your tax information in one place.

  • It asks for your documents and walks you through each step of your tax return.

  • It can spot missing details and help you find deductions or credits you may qualify for.

  • You still need to review everything before submitting to make sure it is correct.

  • You can choose an option like “Navigate my taxes” and follow the steps until your return is ready.

AI AND ETHICS

Lawsuit accuses Perplexity of sharing conversations with others

Perplexity is being sued because people say it shared private chats with other companies. Some users believe their conversations were not kept private.

Details:

  • The lawsuit alleges that Perplexity may have sent users' chats to companies such as Google and Meta.

  • Some people shared personal information, such as financial or tax details, in those chats.

  • The case also claims that private or “incognito” mode may not have fully protected users.

  • Perplexity has not been proven guilty. This is still being reviewed in court.

AI TUTORIAL

How to create and sell websites to local businesses

You don’t need a developer or expensive tools to start a web design business. You can use AI to build and sell websites to local businesses. Here is how:

  1. Go to Google Maps and search for a local business.

  2. Search for a local business with no website or a weak one.

  3. Copy all the business information (Name, address, phone, hours, services, reviews, photos)

  4. Go to Claude and type, “Create a full PRD for a high-converting website for this business.” Paste the business information from step 3 and copy.

  5. Go to Manus AI, paste the PRD, and type: “Build a complete modern website based on this.” Check everything and publish.

  6. Send an outreach email with the link to the website (Ask Claude or Manus)

  7. If they reply, negotiate (Ask for a one-time and recurring for maintenance)

  8. If you can walk up to the business and show them, that also works.
