ANTHROPIC

Claude AI can now remember your past conversations

Claude AI has introduced a new memory feature designed to help it recall important user preferences and past interactions across chats. It’s currently rolling out to select plans, with broader availability expected soon.

Key Points:

  • Context Retention Across Chats: Claude can now remember user details such as writing preferences, recurring project context, or long-term goals, so you don’t need to repeat them in every conversation.

  • Project-Based Memory Spaces: Users can organize memory into dedicated workstreams (e.g., “Brand Strategy,” “Client Project,” “Personal Research”), preventing information from different conversations from getting mixed.

  • Full User Control: You can view, edit, or delete what Claude stores, disable memory entirely, or start “incognito” chats that don’t save anything.

  • Availability and Access: The feature is currently accessible on higher subscription tiers such as Team, Enterprise, and Max. Free or basic plans may not yet include memory, but wider rollout is expected.

Memory is separated by context, doesn’t automatically merge everything into one profile, and follows a consent-based model to avoid unintended long-term storage.

AI AND INNOVATION

Instagram Stories is getting new AI-powered editing tools

Instagram now lets users apply Meta AI editing tools directly inside IG Stories, making it easier to enhance short videos without leaving the app.

Details:

  • You can apply AI-powered style changes like new backgrounds, outfits, lighting, or visual themes (such as comic or cinematic) in one tap.

  • The editing options are based on preset AI prompts, so you don’t need to write your own instructions.

  • The same tools are being added across Meta’s platforms, including the Meta AI app, Facebook, and the standalone Edits app.

  • It currently works for short clips (around 10 seconds) and is available first in the US and other selected regions.

  • This update helps creators quickly improve video quality for Stories without using separate editing software.
