Claude can now use your computer to do anything
Anthropic has introduced a new Claude Cowork update that lets Claude use your computer to complete tasks for you. It can read files, click through apps, and carry out real work with limited access you approve.
Key Points:
Claude can break down a task and complete it step by step. It can read files, organise folders, analyse data, and create documents or reports without your guiding each action.
It can see your screen, move the cursor, click buttons, type, and navigate apps or websites as if a person were working on your machine.
You can give it access to folders or tools. It can open files, edit them, and connect work across documents, spreadsheets, and apps.
You stay in control. It needs permission to access files and will ask before taking important actions. It does not have full access unless you allow it.
It works best with clear tasks and structured files. Some actions are restricted for safety and reliability.
It runs within controlled access. It cannot access your entire system freely, and sensitive actions are limited to prevent misuse.

OpenAI retires SORA
OpenAI has shut down Sora, its AI video tool, after a brief period of public use. The company is stopping both the app and its API, and shifting focus to other areas.
Details:
Sora is being fully discontinued, including the app and developer access through its API.
The tool launched in late 2024 but did not stay active for long before being shut down.
There were growing concerns about deepfakes, copyright issues, and harmful content on the platform.
OpenAI is now focusing more on other products, such as coding tools and business solutions.
Some partnerships linked to Sora were also ended as part of the shutdown.

In the new pop-up experience, the AI feature can offer a roundup of “what people are saying” about the product. The feature will also provide other general information, including details about the brand itself
