Google Launches Google Pics to Rival Canva and Adobe

Google has launched Google Pics, an AI-powered image creation and editing tool inside Google Workspace that lets users generate, edit, and refine visuals using natural-language prompts. It is rolling out to Google AI Pro and Ultra subscribers and eligible Workspace customers.
Key Points:
Google Pics lets users generate posters, social media graphics, illustrations, marketing assets, and other visuals by simply describing what they want using Google's Nano Banana image models.
Users can upload existing images and edit individual objects, replace elements, change text, and create variations through natural-language instructions.
The tool is being positioned as Google's answer to Canva and Adobe Express, with a stronger focus on generating and modifying designs through prompts rather than relying mainly on templates and manual editing.
Pics works within the Google ecosystem and integrates with tools such as Google Docs and Slides, making it easier to create and reuse visuals across Workspace applications.
