 Google rolls out its new Veo 3 video-generation model globally

  Google has officially launched Veo 3, its latest AI video-generation model, in over 159 countries, now available to Gemini AI Pro users. Veo 3 can create up to 8-second videos with synchronized audio, music, and lip-sync, offering high-quality, realistic motion and detailed visuals.   EU says it will continue rolling out AI legislation on schedule

The European Commission confirmed today that the rollout of the EU’s AI Act will proceed exactly as scheduled. There will be no pauses or grace periods, with obligations for general-purpose AI models taking effect in August 2025 and stricter high-risk AI rules following in August 2026, regardless of recent calls from major firms and European companies to delay implementation.
