Microsoft adds Anthropic’s AI to Copilot

Microsoft has integrated Anthropic’s Claude models into Microsoft 365 Copilot, providing users with more options beyond OpenAI. The update is now available in Copilot for tasks such as research and reasoning, with Anthropic options also showing up in Copilot Studio for custom agent building.

Key Points:

  • Model Choice: Users can now select between OpenAI models and Anthropic’s Claude Sonnet 4 or Claude Opus 4.1 within Copilot for specific tasks.

  • Custom Agents: In Copilot Studio, builders can use Anthropic’s models to power their own AI agents.

  • Cloud Hosting: Anthropic models run on AWS instead of Microsoft’s cloud, which may affect data flow and speed.

  • Continued OpenAI Use: OpenAI’s models remain the default for many Copilot tasks. Anthropic is an added option, not a replacement.

  • Strategic Shift: Microsoft is reducing reliance on a single partner and signaling a more open, multi-model approach.

Analysts say this move gives users flexibility, helps balance model strengths, and demonstrates that Microsoft is preparing for a competitive AI future, although multi-cloud hosting could introduce complexity in data handling and performance.

AI AND INNOVATION

Google launches an AI-powered mood board app, Mixboard

Google has just launched a new app called Mixboard, which utilizes AI to help you create mood boards. It’s designed to turn your ideas into visuals quickly, whether you start with text, templates, or your own photos.

Details:

  • You can type in an idea, like “cozy fall living room,” and Mixboard will build a mood board around it.

  • The app utilizes Google’s Nano Banana model to generate and edit images, allowing you to adjust styles, combine visuals, or request variations.

  • You can upload your own images or rely fully on AI to create the look you want.

  • Mixboard offers quick options like “regenerate” or “more like this,” allowing you to explore different versions of your board.

  • It can also suggest short text based on your visuals, helping you describe or label your boards.

  2. Upload your full-body photo to the workspace.

  3. Upload the clothes you want to try (hoodie, T-shirt, pants, or any item you plan to buy).

    • Type Your prompt (Examples you can type):

    • “Try on this black hoodie & white T-shirt in my photo.”

    • “Adjust the sizes so they fit my body naturally.”

    • “Show me a variation with a slimmer or looser fit.”
