Microsoft Edge Adds AI Mode to Make Browsing Easier

Microsoft has launched a new AI feature in its Edge browser called Copilot Mode. This turns Edge into an AI-powered assistant that helps you browse, compare, and take actions more efficiently online. It is now available for Windows and macOS users in markets where Copilot is supported.
Key Points:
All-in-One Input Box: Copilot Mode replaces the traditional search bar with a single box where you can type or speak commands. You can search the web, chat with Copilot, or give it instructions to navigate for you.
Smart Tab Awareness: With your permission, Copilot can read across your open tabs to summarize or compare information without switching between pages.
Voice-Controlled Navigation: You can tell Copilot what to do using your voice. This includes opening tabs, finding text on a page, or locating information quickly.
Future Automation: Soon, Copilot may be able to access your browsing history and login details to help book services or manage online tasks directly.
Privacy Controls: You must turn on Copilot Mode yourself. You can turn it off at any time in your Edge settings. Microsoft also shows clear signs when Copilot is using your data.
Users have found it useful for gathering quick summaries, comparing items across sites, and simplifying routine online activities. While still new, it aims to make everyday browsing smarter and less repetitive

Anthropic introduces new weekly limits for Claude Code power users

Anthropic is setting new weekly limits to stop heavy users from overloading Claude’s code tools. These changes start on August 28, 2025, and only affect a small group of users.
Details:
Pro and Max subscribers will still have their usage reset every 5 hours.
Now there will also be two new weekly limits that reset every 7 days: One for total usage and one just for Claude, Opus 4, the most powerful model
The changes mostly affect less than 5% of users, like those who use Claude non-stop or share accounts with others.
People on the Max plan can still use about 240 to 480 hours per week with Sonnet 4 and 24 to 40 hours per week with Opus 4
If you go over, you can pay extra to keep using it through the API.
Anthropic says the limits are needed because of too much nonstop use, account sharing, and recent service problems.
The goal is to keep things stable for everyone and avoid outages while they work on better long-term options.
