OpenAI launches Group chats in ChatGPT

OpenAI has added group chats to ChatGPT. The feature is being tested in a few countries and will expand later. It lets several people talk in one shared space, with ChatGPT helping the group.
Key Points
ChatGPT can join the discussion, answer questions, and keep it organised. It works for Free, Go, Plus, and Pro users in the pilot regions.
It is currently live only in Japan, New Zealand, South Korea, and Taiwan. Other regions will receive access later.
The group chat uses GPT 5.1 Auto. It supports search, images, file uploads, and voice input inside the group.
Messages between people do not count toward limits. Only replies from ChatGPT count.
Group chats stay separate from your private conversations. Personal memory is not used in a group. Filters apply to users under eighteen.

AI AND INNOVATION
LinkedIn adds AI-powered search to help users find people

LinkedIn has added a new AI search tool that helps you find people more easily. You can type what you need in simple language, and LinkedIn will match you with the right profiles.
Details
You can write searches like “people who work in entertainment marketing” or “startup advisors with medical experience.”
The AI considers the meaning of your request, not just keywords.
Right now, only Premium users in the United States can use it. Other regions and non-Premium users will get access later.
The tool checks your wider network, so you can discover useful contacts even if you don’t know their exact job title.
It helps with networking, hiring, partnerships, and outreach. A clear and updated profile helps others find you as well.

How to stop Google Gemini from scanning your emails
Many people don’t realize that turning on Gmail’s Gemini features can allow the system to scan email content to generate summaries, suggestions, and automated insights. If you prefer more privacy, you can turn these features off. Here is how;

Go to Gmail Settings. Open “See all settings.”
Turn off writing and suggestion tools. Switch off Help me write, Smart Compose, and similar features.
Disable “Smart features and personalization.” This stops AI from scanning email content.
Open your Google Account → Data & Privacy. Turn off product personalization and AI data use.
Remove Gemini add-ons or extensions. Delete them from your browser if installed.
Check “Third-party apps with account access.” Remove any app that can read your Gmail.
For work or school accounts, ask your admin. They can fully disable Gemini for Gmail and Drive.
