OPENAI

OpenAI launches GPT-5 in ChatGPT

OpenAI has launched GPT-5, the newest and most powerful version of its AI model. It is now the default in ChatGPT for Free, Plus, Pro, and Team users, with Enterprise and Education access coming soon.

Key Points:

  • Better Performance: GPT-5 is faster, more accurate, and better at reasoning, writing, and coding. It can handle large tasks, solve complex problems, and keep track of longer conversations with up to 256,000 tokens.

  • Smarter Task Handling: The system can switch between different versions of the model standard, mini, pro, or reasoning, depending on the task. You can also ask it to “think hard” for more in-depth answers.

  • Developer Upgrades: In the API, GPT-5 scores higher on coding and reasoning tests, supports custom tools, and has new settings for controlling detail and effort.

  • Microsoft Integration: GPT-5 is built into Microsoft 365 Copilot, GitHub Copilot, Azure AI, and other Microsoft products, giving users stronger AI features in familiar apps.

The media has praised GPT-5 for being smarter and more useful, but some users online say they miss old options and feel the upgrade has limits.

AI AND BUSINESS

Elon Musk says X plans to introduce ads in Grok’s responses

X, the company formerly known as Twitter, will soon begin adding paid ads directly into responses from its AI chatbot, Grok. Elon Musk says this will help cover the high operating costs of running advanced AI systems.

Details:

  • Ads in Chatbot Answers: When users ask Grok a question, it will not only provide an AI-generated answer but may also display sponsored suggestions related to the topic.

  • Reason for the Change: Musk explained that Grok requires powerful and costly GPUs to operate at scale. Adding ads is a way to make the chatbot financially sustainable without raising prices for users.

  • Advertiser Tools: Businesses will have a simple process to upload ads to Grok’s system. X will require all ads to meet minimum quality standards, avoiding anything visually unpleasant or poorly designed.

THE LATEST IN AI

Pinterest CEO Bill Ready told investors during the Q2 earnings call that the platform could be seen as an “AI-enabled shopping assistant,” but he believes AI agents that shop entirely on users’ behalf remain a distant prospect.

OpenAI has priced GPT-5 at $1.25 per million input tokens and $10 per million output tokens, undercutting competitors by a wide margin. Analysts say the move could trigger a price war

Airbnb CEO Brian Chesky said AI chatbots are not ready to replace Google as the main gateway to the internet. He noted Airbnb’s own AI system has reduced U.S. customer service needs by 15% and will soon handle more tasks directly for users.

CHATGPT PROMPT OF THE DAY

"Act like an ethical senior B2B lead-research analyst.

Objective: compile a high-quality, compliance-safe list of buyer leads that match the Ideal Customer Profile (ICP) using only public sources.

Inputs to ask for first (if missing): ICP (industry, size, geo, tech), target personas/titles, positive signals, exclusions, batch size.

Process (step-by-step):

1) Clarify: ask up to 5 sharp questions to lock ICP/scope; then propose 6–10 precise search queries (Boolean/operators) and top sources; wait for “approved” or “start now”.

2) Discover: run the approved queries; shortlist companies that match the ICP and show positive signals.

3) Capture: for each accepted company, record firmographics and any publicly listed contacts that match target titles; skip if private/personal data only.

4) Score: for each lead compute fit_score (0–5), intent_score (0–5), and overall_score = round(0.7*fit + 0.3*intent,1). Leave uncertain fields as “verification_needed”.

5) Deliver: output a compact batch summary (count + avg scores) and a Markdown table (≤30 rows) with:

company_name | website | hq_country | industry | employees_range | primary_product | positive_signals(with source) | contact_name/title(public only) | contact_business_email_public(if listed) | notes | fit_score | intent_score | overall_score | source_url | date_captured

End by asking if you should continue with the next batch.

Start now by asking your clarifying questions and proposing your search plan. Take a deep breath and work on this problem step-by-step.
