OPENAI
OpenAI’s new GPT-6 Astra is literally AGI

OpenAI has launched GPT-6 Astra, its most powerful AI model yet. OpenAI says it can use computers, browse the web, write code, do research, and complete difficult work across many different jobs. OpenAI President Greg Brockman says he believes the company may have reached AGI, calling this the “AGI era.”
Key Points:
Closer to AGI: GPT-6 Astra scored 99.9% on ARC-AGI-3, a test made to measure how well AI can solve new problems it has not seen before. It also scored 98% on FrontierMath Tier 4.
Can Use a Computer: Astra can browse websites, use software, write code, do research, and complete long tasks across different tools. OpenAI says it is its best model yet for computer and browser use.
Can Do Professional Work: It can help with software development, science, research, documents, spreadsheets, and other difficult work that normally takes many steps.
Availability and Safety: GPT-6 Astra is first rolling out to selected organisations. It will then come to ChatGPT Plus, Pro, Business, and Enterprise users, as well as the OpenAI API, Microsoft Azure, and AWS Bedrock.

AI AND INNOVATION
Google Photos is coming to Gemini Spark.

Google Photos is now coming to Gemini Spark. This means Spark can help you find, organise, edit, and use your photos with simple instructions. The feature is rolling out slowly, so some people may not see it yet.
Details:
You can ask Spark to search your Google Photos and find specific pictures.
Spark can help organise your photos, choose your best pictures, and create albums.
You can ask it to edit photos, improve them, or change how they look.
Spark can create things like collages, videos, and shared photo albums.
It can also use your photos with other Google apps. For example, it can pick vacation photos, make an album, and help prepare an email with the link.

THE LATEST IN AI
The announcement comes one day after New York City, the nation’s largest school system, unveiled similar restrictions. But LA’s goes even further, imposing the one-year restrictions on high schoolers, too.
Google is rolling out AI-powered voice assistant modes for Gmail, Docs, and Keep that allow you to manage the apps by talking to them. The real-time conversational capabilities are called Gmail Live, Docs Live, and Keep Live, and, like the Gemini Live experience for Google’s chatbot, aim to make it easier to note down or find specific information when you’re on the move or unable to do so manually
