PERPLEXITY

Perplexity’s Comet AI browser is now free for all

Perplexity has made its Comet AI browser free for everyone. The tool was previously only available to Max subscribers at $200/month, but now all users can try it at no cost. Paid plans still get extra features.

Key Points:

  • Full Access for All: Comet’s AI browsing tools, like summarizing pages, creating “Spaces,” and exploring shopping, travel, and finance, are now open to everyone.

  • Free vs. Paid: While free users receive the browser, they may encounter usage limits. Pro and Max subscribers retain advanced functions, including the new background assistant.

  • Background Assistant for Max: Max users now have an AI helper that runs in the background, offering more automation and support.

  • Why It Matters: By removing the $200 monthly paywall, Perplexity aims to attract more users and compete with other AI search and browsing tools.

  • Availability: The free tier is already live worldwide. Premium users continue to enjoy priority access and fewer restrictions.

AI AND INNOVATION

OpenAI is the world’s most valuable private company

OpenAI is now the world’s most valuable private company after a private stock sale. The deal pushed its value to $500 billion, putting it ahead of SpaceX.

Details:

  • $6.6 Billion Sale: Current and former employees sold about $6.6 billion worth of shares to investors like SoftBank, Thrive Capital, Dragoneer, MGX, and T. Rowe Price.

  • Secondary Sale: The money went to employees selling their shares, not directly to OpenAI.

  • Big Jump in Value: In March 2025, OpenAI was valued at about $300 billion. Now it has reached $500 billion.

  • World’s Top Private Firm: With this jump, OpenAI has passed SpaceX to become the most valuable private company globally.

  • What It Means: The sale shows strong investor belief in OpenAI’s future, even though the company itself didn’t raise new funds in this round.

AI TUTORIAL

How to scrape data from any website using ChatGPT

ChatGPT can scrape and organize information from the web if you give it a structured prompt. By telling it exactly what to search for and how to format the results, you can turn a messy search into a clean dataset.

  1. Go to ChatGPT and open a new conversation, and toggle on deepsearch.

  2. Type Your Task Using This Prompt (replace the parts in brackets):

  3. Search [website or platform name] for [topic, product, or keyword]. Collect up to [number] items and return the following fields: [list of data points you want, e.g., title, price, link, rating]. Present the results in a table or CSV format.

    (Examples You Can Type:)

    • Search Amazon for laptops under $500. Collect up to 10 items and return: product name, price, link, rating. Present the results in CSV format.

    • Search LinkedIn for marketing jobs in Toronto. Collect up to 15 items and return: job title, company, location, link, date posted. Present the results in a table.

    • Search YouTube for tutorials on ChatGPT. Collect up to 8 items and return: video title, channel name, link, views. Present the results in a table.

    • Search TechCrunch for AI news. Collect up to 5 items and return: headline, date, author, link. Present the results in a table.

  4. Wait for Completion. ChatGPT will process the request, fetch the results, and organize them into the format you requested.

  5. ChatGPT will display the result: a clean table within the chat or a CSV file that you can download. You can copy, edit, or export the results for your own use.

THE LATEST IN AI

OpenAI’s Sora app for AI videos is a viral hit, despite being invite-only for now and limited to users in the U.S. and Canada at launch. On its first day, Sora saw 56,000 downloads, and is now ranked as the No.1

Anthropic has a new chief technical officer, former Stripe CTO Rahul Patil. Patil started at the company earlier this week, taking over from co-founder Sam McCandlish, who will move to a new role as chief architect.

After the success of OpenAI’s video editing app Sora, now at the top of the U.S. App Store, Google may be looking to give its Gemini AI app a more visually focused revamp.

CHATGPT PROMPT OF THE DAY

"Act like a professional business coach and niche selection expert. Your job is to help me choose the best niche for my personal brand or business.

Objective:

Guide me step by step to find a niche that matches my interests, skills, and market demand. Make the advice clear, simple, and practical.

Steps:

1. Ask me about my main interests, passions, or hobbies.

2. Ask me about my strongest skills or experiences that could be valuable to others.

3. Ask me about the type of audience I would like to help or serve.

4. Ask me about my goals: Do I want to build authority, make money, or simply share my passion?

5. Suggest at least 5 potential niche ideas that combine my interests, skills, and audience.

6. For each idea, give me simple pros and cons so I can compare them easily.

7. Recommend the top 1–2 niches that seem most realistic and valuable for me to start with.

Keep the language very simple and easy to understand, like you’re explaining it to a beginner. Make the process feel encouraging and motivating.

How to stop sharing audiences with your competitors

Let’s be real: most ad targeting is slow, built on junk data, or relies on the same segments your competitors are buying. That’s why we built AudienceMaker — so you can create, model, test, and launch segments yourself, instantly. Push them right to Meta, Google, TikTok, Amazon and more.

THAT’S A WRAP!
